If you look at the SS09 new campaign adverts it seems they all have been done by Mert & Marcus... Armani (with Victoria Beckham), MiuMiu (with Katie Holmes), Valentino (with Stephanie Seymour), Longchamp... That is a bit scary.
Longchamp are taking some really interesting directions these days. It's been a couple of seasons they are using Kate Moss but I wasn't convinced at all and I must say this SS09 new campaign is so far the best. I really like it. The models (Kate Moss and Russian model Sasha Pivovarova) look amazing, the colours are fantastic and the styling almost too good to be Longchamp.
Very Bourdin, very much what I like.

Time is flying...
While I was doing my seasonal clearing up I came across a pile of old French Vogue I had kinda forgotten. I started flicking through them... Covers are from 2005, 1998, 2003, 2008... Seems pretty random, but actually each cover tells a story and brings me back to some old memories, it reminds me of when I bought the magazine, how I felt about it, the reason why I liked the cover so much, or totally hated it, what was my life back then... Very strange feeling that everyone probably knows.
My favorite cover is from December 2005 with a black and white Kate Moss. I remember this issue like it was last month, four versions of the cover were produced and Kate was guest-editing the issue.
Initially, the four covers were supposed to be taken by four different photographers, but since Kate went to rehab for a month, only Craig McDean got a chance to shoot her. Back then everyone was oohing and ahhing over the French Vogue covers, remember it was Kate Moss comeback after the whole drugs' scandal...
This picture from 2006 taken by Mario Testino is my favorite.
