Le Bel Ete - understand here Beautiful Summer - is the beautiful movie by
Stephanie Di
Giusto for Vanessa Bruno's Spring Summer 2010 collection, live now on the
fashion designer's
website. The director represented by Partizan
perfectly recreates Vanessa Bruno's poetic style: the muse Lou Doillon
dances on a melody played on piano by Gonzales, loads of nude colors and
natural locations for a pure and dreamy feel.
Do press 'Play' over and over again...

Wow! The new Wrangler micro website for the Blue Bell
Jeans SS10 collection is absolutely genius. Motion men getting their
clothes off with a simple drag of the cursor. I have never seen something
similar, very interesting interaction. Created by the Swedish
agency Kokokaka (which has also recently worked for
Burberry), the site also features a downloadable soundtrack and clip of
the best scenes.
10/10!

Launched by Phaidon Books in 2006, Wallpaper* City Guides is now going to
screen with a the launch of new application for iphone.
The guides not only include basic info...
There are actually a few cool stuff such as an insiders’ guide compiled by
an actual resident and a panoramic photo of the city skyline with architectural
highlights labeled and explained. Even better, the app also detects where you
are in relation to every place in the guide and offers a link to Google maps
for directions. Pretty smart.

The Berlin app is currently
available as a free download on the iTunes store. Go and get
it!

Forget about those
glamourous and super stylish people you see on The
Sartorialist. Yes those ones who look hot on a sunday trip to their
local fleamarket, whatever they wear. Time to get back to (a certain form of)
reality...
People of Walmart
was founded in August
of 2009 by three friends 'after an inspirational trip to
Walmart',
the giant US supermarket. Surely what you see on the website is
inspirational...

That reality aint
for me. Time for Fashion Week guys!

Since everyone -
including my mum - has a mobile phone equipped with a camera now, it is no big
surprise that the trends focused blog Trendlab launched a platform entirely dedicated to those random
camera phone snaps. The Mobile
Diary is a
blog on which you can share your (best) snaps 'whether you are walking down the
street, at a party, in a museum, shopping or anywhere
else'...
Is there really a point? Mmm probably not but don't we all love a bit of
randomness sometimes.

A few months ago Another Magazine
did their first step onto the digital ground with the launch of the website
Anothermag.com. Here comes AnOther LOVES, the latest addition to the
magazine’s website. The concept is to create ‘a living library of all that's
luxurious and limited edition sourced by AnOther's global network of
contributors’, some sort of interactive and inspiring platform on which
Jefferson Hack’s team shares their current whishlist.
Think: Hannah Marshall lambskin
envelope clutch, bicycle and Leica M7 by Hermes, Gareth Pugh quill, Dries Van
Noten plait beaded collar, Swarovski head phones, Shawn Lovell Tree bed…
Sweet.

Each object of desire can be tweeted and shared on Facebook. Of course. Each
product is then linked to its own site of origin, which usually translates to a
place where you can buy said objects. AnOther LOVES turns out to be not only a
daily inspiration source but a complete new intermediary in the trade of luxury
pieces and limited editions.

Twin - a bi-annual magazine and a website - launches this
week.
Issue one is complete and available to buy now in places
such as Colette and Dover Street Market. The style book features a poetry
portfolio curated by the first female poet laureate, Carol Ann Duffy, plus
Miranda July’s imaginings on a female future and photography by Todd Selby, Boo
George and Garance Doré.

In the meantime view the website (designed by
Catch digital) with making off videos and blogs on www.twinfactory.co.uk. Social media wise Twin does it
all with a fan page on Facebook, a Twitter profile and Flickr
account.

Who is the team behind Twin then? Editor in chief Becky
Smith was the founder and former creative director of the mag Lula; art editor
Francesca Gavin does double duty at Dazed & Confused and Elle U.K, and
features editor Aimee Farrell works by day at British Vogue. Online editor is
Hianta Cassam Chenai, former creator of the successful blog Fluokids. For my
part I am blogging and working with Hianta on the online promotion, I call it
digital PR.
