Vogue Paris Le Bar

Paris fashion week has started yesterday under the sun and it seems the whole city is living the fashion dream... To recreate that very unique fashion atmosphere Le Crillon and Vogue Paris teamed up to launch a pop-up bar inside the prestigious hotel, welcome to Le Bar Vogue. Enjoy a selection of special cocktails such as the Carine's Tea Time (vodka, green tea and menthol sirup) while getting a quick make up fix at the Lancome beauty booth... And to make sure you don't miss a thing of what is going on, big plasma screens show the tweets from the Vogue Paris team.

East London gift shop Maiden launches e-shop

Since its opening last Autumn, Maiden has certainly established itself as THE place to shop if you are in East London and in despair for THE ultimate gift. A good selection of amusing gadgets, games, home accessories, jewellery, books (including a great collection of vintage books in perfect condition), postards that will make everyone smile. And there are new products coming in store every week... I just bought there for a fiver a vintage album of my favorite TV show 90210!

Good news! Following the success of the Shoreditch High St based shop, Maiden has just launched its e-shop. Go and have a look here, it's never too late to give your sister a Christmas present!

Dolce Gabbana goes on the iphone

It seems pretty obvious that, right now, live streaming of catwalk is on trend - see my previous posts about Burberry and London Fashion Week. Dolce & Gabbana - the label has already been developing a strong online brand experience with its website Swide - goes beyond the simple live streaming as both its mainline show and the younger diffusion brand D&G will be exclusively live on the iphone for the very first time.

Download the app here.

Oh by the way guys, the show is today at 1pm, don't miss it!

Burberry 3D show

London womenswear schedule comes to an end and Christopher Bailey unveiled yesterday his autumn/winter 2010 collection for the second consecutive season in London, at the Chelsea College of Art. Following the lead of Avatar, the British label decided to stream its show in 3D at private events all around the world. Unfortunately I have not attended any of these very special events, I have enjoyed the 2D version available from the micro website though. Mister Bailey himself introduces us to the project at the beginning of the video... It is a bit like being front row at Burberry, minus the paparazzi and the freebies.

Pop vs Love

Thanks god Winter sales are officially over and Spring Summer 2010 issues are finally out. Last week it was all about the new issues of bi-annual magazines Pop (Bauer Media) and LOVE (Conde Nast) hitting shelves...

  • Condé Nast's title produced eight different covers for its 'fashion icons' issue, featuring naked cover stars including Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell and Lara Stone. All shot by Mert & Marcus, art directed once again by Suburbia. On the website front, the team has kept is pretty minimal; black background and a simple player to The LOVE Thing, a movie directed by LOVE editor Katie Grand and James Lima (see below). More LOVE on the magazine's blog.

The LOVE Thing from LOVE on Vimeo.

  • One girl, two covers for Pop. Model is Abbey Lee Kershaw, shot by Richard Prince. Website wise, editor Dasha Zhukova launched Pop’s digital format as thepop.com last September. Providing an integrated platform for the Pop team and its partners, the  website provides pretty good content. So many blogs on there, hours of browsing.

Vanessa Bruno's Bel Ete

Le Bel Ete - understand here Beautiful Summer - is the beautiful movie by Stephanie Di Giusto for Vanessa Bruno's Spring Summer 2010 collection, live now on the fashion designer's website. The director represented by Partizan perfectly recreates Vanessa Bruno's poetic style: the muse Lou Doillon dances on a melody played on piano by Gonzales, loads of nude colors and natural locations for a pure and dreamy feel.

Do press 'Play' over and over again...
